Adrianne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and went on to earn her Masters in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in somatic psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California.

From teaching therapeutic yoga to at-risk youth to her recent work of providing trauma-informed therapy in the foster care system, Adrianne’s multi-faceted background and nearly a decade of working with children has given her the unique ability to think on her toes and connect with clients in the moment and on their level. She brings to Blackhawk a unique constellation of therapeutic skills and approaches such as somatic therapy (bringing positive awareness to the interplay between the body and mind), talk therapy, play therapy, art therapy, movement therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has a certification in the Triple P positive parenting program. She utilizes her innovative, spirited and relatable approach to explore the interplay between children’s personal experiences, family systems and emotional well-being in order to build relationships and holistically support both children and parents.

Adrianne believes that by using a client’s internal and external strengths, we can together create a path to heal old wounds, develop coping skills, and find purposeful engagement in life. She is passionately committed to the ongoing collaboration of working with each unique Blackhawk family to empower them in their lives and relationships.

Adrianne spends her free time doing outdoorsy things with her dog, Esme, and loves dancing, yoga and new adventures.
